Consumer Product Safety Commission Set Crib Standards
All of the cribs that The Childcare Supply Company are shipping now meet or exceed all Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) compact crib requirements (CPSC 1220) ASTM 2710 (voluntary commercial crib standards), ASTM 406 10B (compact crib requirements) and are totally compliant with the new 2010 Federal Government guidelines.
All cribs used in a commercial environment such as a day care facility must be compliant with these guidelines or they must be replaced by December 28, 2012.
DECEMBER 28, 2010 - The new Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) crib standards have been published. The new standards were officially recorded in the Federal Register on December 28, 2010. Consumers must replace all non-compliant cribs by December 28, 2012.
JUNE 28, 2011 - New crib standards take effect for manufacturers, retailers, importers and distributors to address deadly hazards.
DECEMBER 28, 2012 - Any crib provided by a child care facility and family child care home MUST comply with the new and improved federal safety standards.
